Samsung Bringing Jelly Bean update to 15 Devices

Google Android launched eight versions of its mobile operating system, and the last one is Jelly Bean. Users are now more focused on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean instead of the previous version. Samsung recently released a list of its devices that will receive the hottest Android OS, Jelly Bean.

Samsung confirmed the release Jelly Bean on his famous facilities, including the flagship smartphone Galaxy S3, which was already aktualizován.Aktualizace will start rolling out in Poland and throughout Western Europe.

"One thing that irritated some users is that Samsung has skipped his powerful Galaxy Tab 10.1 update from the list."

Not only Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 7.7 but will also be deprived of Jelly Bean. Both of these powerful tablets are currently running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This means that they can be easily upgraded to the latest version of android. However, it must be something important for the company's decision.

There are a total of 15 devices that are going to get Jelly Bean and here I'm going to mention their names.

Samsung devices to get Jelly Bean:

Galaxy Tab 2 7.0
Galaxy Note 10.1
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
Galaxy Note
Galaxy S2
Galaxy S Advance
Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus
Galaxy Chat
Galaxy Music
Galaxy S2 LTE
Galaxy Beam
Galaxy Mini 2
Galaxy Ace Plus
Galaxy S DUOS
Galaxy Ace 2

It is a device which will be updated to the new bean jelly soon. So, if you are the owner of any of the above devices, run the check for update notification bar. Well, maybe the Galaxy Tab 10.1 users will have to wait for the next

Sony Ericsson Announces Xperia Neo V, Android 2.3.4 Update for Xperia (VIDEO)

Sony Ericsson announced today that their 2011 Xperia smartphones will be receiving Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread updates starting in October. The update will include Google Talk with Video Chat, updated Facebook inside Xperia functionality, support for USB peripherals, swipe text input, and the ability to take screenshots. Another cool feature is the 3D sweep panorama technology. It allows images to be captured and then viewed in 3D by connecting the phone to a 3D TV using the HDMI output. That’s pretty cool for 3D TV owners.
Today’s announcement from Sony Ericsson also includes the Xperia Neo V which will be hitting shelves in Q4 of this year. The Neo V will launch with the 2.3.4 update already on board and will be showing off a Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine. Inside the Neo V is packing a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon, a 2GB microSD card (supports up to 32GB), 720p video recording, and a 1500 mAh Battery. Outside you’ll find it rocking the colors white, blue gradient, and silver. I’ll be honest, Sony Ericsson hasn’t really hit my excitement radar as far as their smartphones are concerned. This news has me wanting to check one out though, how about you? A video showing off the update’s features can be found after the break as well as the source link for full details.

Droid 2 Gingerbread Changelog Published to Verizon’s Support Site, Update Imminent?

Verizon has outed the changelog to the long awaited Gingerbread update for the Motorola Droid 2 A soak test was supposed to begin this week, and very well may be under way, but it appears Verizon is inching closer to unleashing the new software version on the masses. The update will leave MotoBlur at build number 4.5.601 and add a whole slew of enhancements (too many to list here). Highlights include a newly blue Blur interface, customizable app drawer, and battery enhancements.
The update tops the scales at 106MB and should be on track to hit a handset near you soon, pending any major bugs. Head over to Verizon’s support site for the complete list of what’s new.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Gets a Quick Maintenance Update (Netflix Works)

The ASUS Transformer has gotten itself a pretty decent OTA update. Version 8.6.5.9 is said to have allowed people to use Netflix to its full capabilities, however it’s not going to show up in the market. You’ll need to grab the Netflix APK, but from there you should be on your way to streaming all your favorite content. The great part is that root isn’t required so everyone can get in on the fun. PS: those of you with docks should hook your tablets up to it as it too has gotten a bit of love in this update (though we’re not exactly sure what sort of love that is).

Motorola FLIPSIDE Gets Android 2.2 Update

While it isn’t nearly as exciting as an upgrade to Gingerbread, the lowly Motorola FLIPSIDE for AT&T has been lifted into the good graces of Android 2.2. The update is available as a downloadable file to be flashed from a microSD card, and Moto provides full instructions over at their support site. Aside from the possibility of a maintenance update or two down the road, this is probably the end of the line in terms of new Android versions for FLIPSIDE owners, so get it while the going’s good.

T-Mobile G-Slate 3.1 Update Brings Locked Bootloader

If you’re a T-Mobile G-Slate owner and you fancy yourself an Android modder, you may want to wait before updating your device to the official 3.1 update rolling out right now. I’ve stumbled upon some information that the update will, in fact, lock the bootloader making the flashing of custom ROMs and all the other goodies that come with it, impossible. At least for now.
Up until this update, the LG G-Slate was one of the more developer friendly tablets with fastboot OEM unlock and the Nvidia APX allowing full read/write access to the device. Anyone thinking of skipping the official update altogether only to remain at the mercy of the Android developer community? (They have cake)
