MAKING A MUSIC VIDEO USING MOBILE PHONE Sony Ericsson ion appears to be possible.

Once upon a time, video cameras were huge, heavy equipment used something that we used to call film. Those were dark and primitive times.

Sure, bulky high-definition camera equipment exists to this day (although sans traditional film in most cases), but it is necessary to create high quality content?

Sony says it's not. With most things well, the proof is in the pudding.

The assignment was to create an entire video clip using only the Xperia Ion smartphone to create. The Ion is able to shoot Full HD 1080p video, but how well does actually work in a professional environment?
To find out, Sony decided to work with one of their partners, metric. The idea was to create a live performance of the new metric track, Synthetics do, using the Sony Xperia Ion as the only relevant filming equipment.
Interestingly, Sony has the crowdsourcing approach, so that everyone in the crowd a Xperia Ion filming with. Thereafter, the material was collected and pooled from clips. Technology is sometimes amazing, is not it?
The end result of the combined music videos shown above, and you must admit they did a pretty good job. Someone else tried a professional style video using nothing but a smartphone?
