Tee Off with Golf Digest Course Critic

If you golf in North America, you need the Golf Digest Course Critic Android app. Not only does this app take you inside Golf Digest’s social feeds, it puts you in touch with some of the greatest golfing in the country.
Ready to up your game? Turn your bogey into a birdie with my Android app review of Golf Digest Course Critic.
Features
 Gold Digest Course Critic
There are several features tucked into the Golf Digest Course Critic Android app. The highlights include three course guides that help you find the best golfing in the country. The 100 Greatest Courses list includes private and resort greens ranked with course details, maps, directions and additional information.
The 100 Greatest Public list includes public and resort courses for a more accessible list of game sites. All the great course details are included.
There is also a Best in State list that highlights the top ten courses in each state alphabetically. So even if you are traveling, it’s easy to find a good game.
The Golf Digest Course Critic Android app also supports user ratings, allows you to create a list of favorites, list your favorite courses that are featured in the app on a pegboard, and even cultivate a golf course wish list for the future.
I think the Golf Digest Course Critic app is a great listing functionality. A little more editorial content might really make it pop.
Layout & Design
 Golf Digest Course Critic
Classic green is the main color scheme in the Golf Digest Course Critic Android app. This is not a very surprising move. However, the application is designed quite tastefully, and none of the colors are overpowering or offensive.
I do wish the app included more pictures of these beautiful courses, or direct links to their websites for additional content. Without images the app falls a little flat.
Functionality
The Golf Digest Course Critic Android app is extremely easy to use. A dedicated home button in the upper left-hand corner makes tracing your steps simple, no matter where you’ve wandered.
I expected no less of an app developed by a major corporation. This app does not crash, has no responsiveness issues, and generally gets along quite well on a multitude of Android devices.
Value
The true value of the Golf Digest Course Critic app is in its high quality course content and customizable features. While there are some additional features and tweaks that could improve this app, overall it was a solid effort.
I suspect fans of the magazine, and golf fanatics in generally, will truly enjoy this free application.
